The Stewardship Committee works to raise awareness of our parish’s financial needs, and actively seeks out the funds to continue what we do, as well as expand our efforts to fulfill needs.
Last fall, more than 40 parish members organized a record-setting pledge drive that resulted in 195 pledges and a pledge total exceeding $500,000–both figures are greater than ever before. They organized and lead the backpack filling event in support of the food insecure children who attend Daniel Wright Elementary as well as the follow-up callers who guided the outreach that resulted in the remarkable pledge results.
St. Patrick’s is on firm financial footing for 2015 and we have met our needs and many of our wants. It’s a wonderful accomplishment of which we should all be proud. It is awkward to focus on money but these resources allow us to fulfill our mission. Thanks for a great response.
We will be working with outreach ministries to identify additional parish-wide events to serve our neighbors in need this year.
