Church can feel too big at times.  St. Patrick’s offers a variety of small groups for fellowship, outreach, and learning opportunities. We encourage members to participate in small groups to experience a greater sense of community.

Men’s Tuesday Morning Group
On Tuesday mornings, a Men’s Group meets at St. Pat’s from 7am to 8am via Zoom.

The goal for the Tuesday Men’s Group, and the meeting format, is intended to be an opportunity for men of faith to casually gather and share an easy Scripture study. There is also a large amount of fellowship and laughter. Everyone is welcome and if you can join once, once in a while, or weekly, that would be great!

The Tuesday Morning Group initiated several new ministries. The men have helped with the twice a year Garage Sale. They have also gathered the funds to purchase a table and chairs for the courtyard. They also sent Holiday Cards to those incarcerated in Ohio’s penal system. Finally, the group organizes a Men’s Retreat for all the Men of St. Pat’s.

Later in the Day Saints Men’s Group
The Later in the Day Saints fellowship group meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 10am in the church library and is open to all men. The time they spend together has no formal agenda or specific calling. It is simply an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge about a multitude of topics:
hobbies, sports, life stories, happenings at St. Patrick’s, local events, travel, and so much more. This group has supported VBS with a group purchase of craft materials, and sharing a Southern brunch prepared by Mother Cameron. LITDS organized an educational excursion to Procter Farm to learn
about their fresh food program, followed by lunch on site. We also enjoyed a group tour of The Ohio State University stadium inside and out, including the marching band facility. The group is always exploring ideas for other excursions.

Sacred Circles Women’s Groups
The women of St. Patrick’s expressed a desire to form Sacred Circles (Women’s Spirituality groups) that would be open to all the women of St. Patrick’s who want to participate. The purpose of the groups is to provide a community in which to share and navigate spiritual journeys and what connects us to the divine, as well as deepen our spiritual quests as they are enriched by our Christian tradition.

It is our hope these Women’s Spirituality groups deepen our relationships with God and with other women in the St. Patrick’s community, and include participation from women of all ages and backgrounds, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey. Registration and information for the 2023 Fall Women’s Retreat can be found HERE.

Currently there are five Sacred Circles Groups which meet at various times and on various days throughout the month.

St. Arbuck’s
St. Arbuck’s is a fun drop-in group that meets during the summer at Starbucks every Wednesday at 10:00am. All are welcome to join, one time or every week.

Foyer Groups
A Foyer Group is a small group of adults, (8-10 people), who share meals and conversation together.
There are also groups for families who often plan an outing centered around children’s activities. Each group typically meets four or five times throughout the year for dinner. This is a great way to meet people who attend other services and who we would not have otherwise met.

Purls of Wisdom
This is a knitting group. Prayer shawls and pocket prayer shawls are their main focus. They are always available in the Narthex. Help yourself! This is a very crafty group and every year they sponsor an Advent Sale. All proceeds support a scholarship for a Honduras nursing school.

Spiritual Directions Group
This group meets on Wednesday mornings.  It gathers to read a variety of books on religious themes and then discusses the significance in their lives, the life of the community of St. Patrick’s, and the church at large.
